  9. Our tickets are $271 plus taxes. So $300.41 but we fly out at 8:00 a.m. and arrive around noon. So we have the entire day to enjoy.

  10. I was holding two contracts and just confirmed our NW-Delta contract and released 22 seats on United. The United seats were $10 more than NW. We are officially committed to our flight now-deposit has been sent!

  12. This is really great. Many of the advisers were sending notes to me, and I was not having time to forward the on. The blog is working for collaboration.
Kathy and I are just meeting with our kids. We like the beach idea that Amanda sent out Beach Bus OC-Surf City USA. Would all who are intersted in attending the Beach want to do this. Earlier I indicated Long Beach, but this looks good. $22 per passenger and shuttle runs continuously til 7 pm

  13. By the way Kyle, I like the pink. Blue would have been better, but pink is nice :)

  14. The beach bus with Group Travel Planners is on Saturday. If we plan on that are we moving Universal Studios to Sunday - would we have time with the Awards that night?

  15. Western Dubuque will be going to the basball game on Wednesday night and to the Beach on Saturday. We went through the Colorado Agency. Kyle we will be taking a van down, so we will not need transportation, thanks though. My kids deciding against the Universal Studios and they are not sure about Disney.

  16. It's pink for March of Dimes.....Actually was the default that came up and quickest! Alburnett is planning on going to Disney on Wednesday and we have a good number at least 9-10 if not all 15 that want to go to the beach. We have a test at 12:15 on Saturday and the open tests are Saturday afternoon. Keep me posted what people are doing, my students didn't want to do Universal.

  17. My kids finally got together on what they wanted to do. They did not want to do the Disney parks. We are going to 6 flags on Wednesday, Universal on Thursday, beach on Saturday, and downtown Disney area on Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Darn Chris, my kids thought maybe we could catch a ride with your group to Knotts Berry Farm. What did you find for transportaion there?

    ReplyDelete
  19. We did some looking and found a lot more exciting rides at 6 flags compared to Knotts Berry Farm - thats why we decided on 6 flags. We were looking into renting a car for the day.

Is everyone still planning on the beach on Saturday with the shuttles?

  20. Alburnett is planning on the beach Sunday per the sheet Dana handed out. Is it moved to Saturday? I have a student testing at 12:15, the open tests are 2-5 and some of the finals are Saturday afternoon. Only about half my students wanted to go to the beach, please advise what plans are. I did send a note to Konrad about the Sunday option. We are planning on the Rain Forest Cafe on Saturday night after the March of Dimes walk at 7:30 in Downtown Disney.

Who's going to Disneyland on Wednesday?

  21. Saturday, June 27--Universal Studios

I am currently working on transportation. I have left two messages and they have not returned my call.

Initial costs were $925.00 for a charter bus (47 or 55 passengers) to take the group to Universal Studios. I am looking to finalize times and price.

The group rate for Universal Studios is $53.60 per person. Here are the rules:

    1. No refunds
    2. Prepay in advance
    3. Only one person may pick up the tickets for the group.
    4. I would have to call the week of June 22 to reserve tickets. We would have to pay any price increase.

    Sunday, June 28--Beach

I am still trying to reach this company to finalize information. The initials costs for transportation was about $35 when I talked to Tom weeks ago. I would have you back around 3:30 because the awards start at 6:00.

I am not using the group planner because the days do not match ours.

I received another room reservation today.

I am hoping to gets items to you early next week. It sounds like some of you are doing things on your own. I will give you my information and groups can decides what they want to do.

  22. I just got off the phone with Tom from the Anaheimtourcompany. He is going to send me a proposal for you to leave at 8:30 a.m. and return by 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 28. His agenda will include a tour of three beachs (Huntington, Newport, and Laguna) along with times. He also suggests that you may want a Harbor tour. I will share prices, times, etc. when I receive them.

  23. Konrad:
Looks good only concern is the regional recognition & voting session is at 9:15a.m. probably done about 10:30a.m. at the latest. I believe we will have a shot a couple of the awards given out? Probably could proxy the votes?

  27. Konrad, a question on touring the beaches. My thoughs were just transportation to one beach and stay there for the day. We should wait to leave after the voting sessions. For those planning the to go the beach, am I correct?

Boy this is a litte hard, but FUN!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Linn-Mar is still planning on Universal!!!! Thanks Konrad

    ReplyDelete
  29. To clarify, Linn-Mar is planning Universal Saturday and the Beach Sunday. Students still thinking about Dinsey for Wednesday.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Kathy is ordering the T-shirts, I think they are some sort of yellow

  31. Alburnett is doing Disnesy on Wednesday and the beach on Sunday as planned through Iowa FBLA. We are not doing Universal on Saturday because some students will do the open tests 2-5 and MOD walk 5:30-7:30 and we have a student test at 12:15. Saturday night about 7:30 we are planning on going to downtown Disney to the Rain Forest cafe if any wants to go with us....more than welcome to join.

  32. Bellevue is planning to arrive on Thursday, go to Universal with everyone on Saturday, go to the beach with everyone on Sunday, and depart on Monday. We are looking at departing from Dubuque and flying into Orange County. We would be interested in going to the Rainforest Saturday night, possibly. Do you have to pay admission to go to downtown Disney?

    Tracy, Bellevue

  33. Chariton will not be doing Universal on Saturday because I have two students with tests at that time. I think the beach would be a definite yes and I'm still having discussions on Disney.

    ReplyDelete
  34. From what I see on the internet Downtown Disney doesn't cost, just a bunch of restaurants & shops outside of the theme park area. If anyone knows different please post, thanks. Kyle

    ReplyDelete
  35. Clarke is planning on the beach on Sunday with everyone else. We are going to Universal on Wed. or Thurs not on Saturday because of some of the same reasons as Alburnett, so we may be up for the Rain Forest Cafe.

    ReplyDelete
  36. There is no cost for Downtown Disney if it is the same as Florida. You're right Kyle. It's a bunch of shops and restaurants.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Eagle Grove is planning on Disney on Wed and the beach on Sun. We are a yes to Universal if we don't get in the finals for our event. Guess still not sure about what to do there. Anyone know how far Downtown Disney if from our hotel and if there is a shuttle? That can be a great filler anytime. Also we might want to consider an Angels game? Did you already get your tickets?

    ReplyDelete
  38. The way I see it the transit will take you to Downtown Disney. Were you thinking about the Angels game on Tuesday or Wednesday? We are going on Tuesday, but have not ordered our tickets yet. We plan to get them this weekend or the beginning of next week. Let me know if you are interested and we can find a way to order together to get the same seats. We are taking the transit to the ball park.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'd like to go on Tuesday. Kids said outfield seats are $12. Others are $25 and up. I will get back to you by Monday so we could order together. Is the transit station close to our hotel?

    ReplyDelete
  40. It will pick us up at our hotel, but we have to get on a different live to go to the stadium. Do a google search on Anaheim Resort Transit. My kids were interested in seats that cost $35-45. We have 5 total, how many will you have?

    ReplyDelete
  41. I have a total of 11 people. We probably would be interested in cheaper tickets. The hotel said you can take a taxi for $8 to the stadium. That would be affordable and no waiting for train lines. We'll see.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wow - it is tough to keep up with everyone. Bettendorf will by flying in to LAX Tuesday evening. Our tickets were a little more expensive from Moline - wow!

We plan to go with Iowa FBLA to the beach on Sunday. Kyle - downtown disney on Saturday sounds great. We would love to join you!

We have a group that would like to do the baseball game on Wed. Has anyone got tickets or transportation for this yet?

We have some going to Disney on Wed, but we do have some that would like to go to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Has anyone done this before or planned to?

We are not going to Universal because our students are going to do the open events.

Last but not least we do have a few that would like to do the dolphin/ whale excursion. Is anyone else looking into this?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Walk of fame is a street with shops, the theater and the stars on the sidewalk. If driving into LA for that I would combine it with something else. The dolphin whale excursion sounds great. Any prices on that yet? We're debating on Universal because we could be in finals and open events are then.

  44. I called Disney today to order tickets the one day park hopper pass for 28 tickets is $69 + $1 charge. I'm having them 2-day mail to my home so will not have to wait in line at park to pick up. If you want to order call (714) 781-4400. I will be ordering Alburnett & EDCO's....who else will be in the park on Wednesday? Kyle
